Principles and Technologies Using Cryosurgery to Treat Benign Lesions

This course will provide veterinarians and veterinary technicians a foundation on the principles and uses of cryosurgery when treating benign lesions. The course covers the history, principles and practice management issues when using cryosurgery and will include a demonstration or hands-on practicum (non-live animal) to help attendees become familiar with the use and operation of cryosurgical products and technologies.

Attendees will explore examples of existing commercial cryosurgical products, learning how they operate and may be best used in their practice.

Meet the instructors

Sam Niedbala, PhD

Dr. Niedbala is CEO and Founder of CryoConcepts, LP in Bethlehem, PA and has over 30 years of experience in cryosurgery. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Lehigh University and is a frequent presenter on the use of cryosurgery in companion animals. He has done ground breaking work on the design of portable cryosurgical devices and is the lead presenter of a RACE course on cryosurgery.

Tim Mosebey, VMD

Dr. Mosebey holds degrees from Susquhanna University and the University of Pennsylvania where he received his VMD. He has been in veterinary practice for 14 years with a focus on internal medicine, dermatology, soft tissue surgery, and canine/feline behavior. Dr. Mosebey has worked closely with CryoConcepts to help develop protocols for the cryosurgical removal of a wide range of lesions in small animals and is a frequent presenter on the topic.
